Story

I chose UQ Foundation Year because it provides foreign students with the vital knowledge of subjects they are going to study in UQ. It really works as “Foundation”. I definitely like all teachers, because each of them takes care of students. Their aim is to help us and provide with outstanding knowledge to make sure we enter one of the prestigious universities, not only in Australia but also in the world. 

Studying at Foundation Year assisted my preparation for UQ, I gained knowledge and experience in writing assignments and presentations. I have improved my level of English and learnt a lot. 

Brisbane is the city with breathtaking beauty and friendly atmosphere that gives students a great chance to concentrate on studying properly and not forget about social life. It’s not too busy as Sydney or too cold as Melbourne. I enjoyed a lot of leisure activities here: Tennis, golf, dancing especially salsa dancing or Latin kind of dancing. I’m really keen on tennis and dancing, that’s why I was really excited when UQ offered me to take part in tennis competitions and gave me an opportunity to study salsa dancing professionally. Friendliness and open mindedness of people, lovely atmosphere where everybody is ready to help any day, any minute.

My dream is to work for a huge company like Mercedes Benz or BMW, that’s why I’m going to study International Business and German language and hope to get a Masters in International Business and corporation law.
