The Summer School will be a fully supervised educational experience. Emmanuel College is a residential university college in an idyllic riverside setting at St Lucia, UQ's main campus. The college provides supervision and pastoral care with 24/7 security in a gated community with on-site leisure facilities.

Senior university student mentors will supervise all extra-curricular activities for students attending the Summer School and will provide after hours support. Senior staff and residential tutors live on site and are available in emergencies.

Students will be accommodated in single rooms (with Internet and telephone access ) and shared bathrooms. Three generous meals a day will be provided. Morning sessions of the Summer School will be conducted in the conference rooms and seminar rooms of the College. There are break-out rooms and outdoor settings for informal group discussions.

Students will be transported by bus each day to the IES premises in Spring Hill for the afternoon sessions. In the evenings, an extra-curricular programme will be run and students can also take advantage of the recreational facilities of the College and the University.
